Embrace The Middle Age of Happiness
As a woman now over 50, I’m really happy to be a part of this new breed of ‘age-nostic’. My desire has always been to make this aging thing look and feel good. I work at it every single day. I’m very careful with the energy I allow in my space, the information filtered through my mind, and the intake of nutrients for my body.
Unlike the previous generation, I refuse to allow society to define and constrict how I age. To embrace the so-called mid-life crisis with aging should be a privilege and should also be celebrated because not many are blessed to live beyond 50. So when young people stare at my grey strands and limited wrinkles, they ask my age with anticipation. I don’t hesitate. I’m grateful and I’m blessed to offer wisdom.
My new mantra:
I am a woman who doesn’t believes there’s an age limit to living, who’s never too old to kick some ass, and who doesn’t worship what the mirror says but dares to look it straight in the eye.
